Live Blogging from Tonight's "Open Mike" event for Michael Capuano
Live at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston at tonight's Open Mike event. Room is filling up quickly - average cover band banging away merely feet from me. Mike Ball, of Marry in Massachusetts sitting to my left.

Capuano leads off by asking everyone if they've ever been told they can't do something, and that they don't have a chance.......

"You do and say the same thing when it matters!" - Capuano
"(Coakley) said she would have voted no on the Healthcare bill."
"Does anybody have a doubt how Ted Kennedy would have voted on that bill?"
Mike said his fundraising has been obscene. Believes we should have public financing of campaigns.
Linda, an undecided voter thanks Congressman Capuano for his vote on Saturday. Asks what he will do to ensure her over performing students aren't "left behind."
Congressman believes Federal Government should share burden (financially)of educating children of our Commonwealth.
Capuano states he's never been the best funded candidate in past elections. Cites several special interests who won't donate to him because they want something in return. "I don't play that game."
Boston City Councilor Bill Linehan in the house! Southie represent!
"I'm a product of public schools."
On what he would say to Joe Lieberman, in reference to his no vote on healthcare, Congressman Capuano said some people are stuck in the wrong century and believe that he will regret that vote at some point in his life.
"I'm a social liberal." [Belives in education,some degree of public safety..etc]
"I'm also a fiscal conservative."
"I need your help to make sure our message gets out."
